Service Level
Service level is the method the distribution industry uses to determine how well they are doing in filling customer orders.

When you place an order, how many of the individual order lines shipped complete as you requested? If you requested 12 of one item and we were only able to furnish you 11, that was a service failure.

Since 1990, the Berkheimer Company has exceeded our 96% Service Level Goal. This means that for every 100 order lines that were entered into our computer, more than 96 lines were filled complete with the quantity requested without a backorder. Our Service Level Performance is recorded at the time the merchandise is picked up at one of our branches or is shipped to you on one of our scheduled delivery trucks.

Our service level calculations include all of the 17,000 plus stock items shown in our catalog. We try to have all of these items available for you at your local warehouse at all times.
